Desoto County Sheriff’s Department Addition

The Project consists of the construction of a new addition to the existing Sheriff’s Department facility located at 3091 Industrial Dr W, Hernando, MS 38632. The building addition includes a new concrete foundation, concrete masonry construction, bar joist roof structure, steel decking, and single ply roofing system. New extensions on the fire suppression system, electrical system to new sub-panel, and new HVAC system for the addition areas. Interior materials include steel stud constructed partitions, sound rated partitions, carpet, lvt flooring, porcelain tile in the restrooms, and new ceilings and lighting. The fire alarm system is to be incorporated into the existing system, see electrical. Exterior materials include brick, two types of exterior metal panel, and single ply roofing system. The addition is to be structurally isolated from the original building, see structural. The addition was designed to have minimal impact on existing spaces inside the existing building. Parking modifications are required for the building addition. New sidewalks, new susbsurface downspout drainage, new gas supply extension, and new patch areas of asphalt are required for a finished site incorporation of the building addition.
